Nick Tyrrell is a proud dad, small-business founder, and long-time community advocate.
He’s built local and national businesses that employ Canberrans, served on community boards, worked across state and local government – and industry – to deliver real results.
Before that, he served as a Councillor, campaigner, and adviser in a reformist Coalition government; experience necessary to understand and advocate for real solutions to today’s challenges.
Nick’s chosen to make Canberra his home. And he’s stepping up to make it better, for all of us.

People want to know their representatives can advocate for them at a local and national level, but also tackle complex problems in a practical way.
Nick is a natural problem-solver. His experience helping implement reform in the O’Farrell & Baird governments in NSW, as well as advocating for community and industry, have honed the skills required to deliver quality outcomes for taxpayers and stakeholders.

People expect a leader to put their money where their mouth is, with a demonstrated track record of doing what’s needed.
Whether it be starting a business, leading a volunteer organisation, or running for office, Nick has demonstrated the conviction over a long period of time to get things done.
Nick walks the talk.

Being a good representative means playing an active role in the community.
Raising a family in Canberra with his partner Courtney, Nick also sits on several community boards, actively raises funds for a number of charity groups, and served on the Covid Economic Recovery Advisory Group to help rebuild business activity & confidence in the ACT after the lockdowns.
I have never done things by half, whether by taking a risk to start a business, by advocating for causes I believe in, or by putting my hand up to run for office.
Canberra needs a strong advocate for values like reward for effort, better and fairer access to services, a fair go for young people, and real choices for families.
I’m working hard to hold the Government to account, and bring positive ideas to building an even better Canberra for all of us.
